Welcome to Lockin ("Lockin," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lockin mobile application and related services. By downloading, accessing, or using Lockin, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use Lockin.
2. Description of Service
Lockin is a screen time management application that allows users to monitor and limit access to selected applications using Apple Screen Time and Device Activity features. Lockin does not guarantee any particular productivity, behavioral, educational, or health outcome.
3. Accounts
You agree to provide accurate information, maintain account security, keep credentials confidential, and notify us of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.
4. Phone Verification
Lockin may require phone number verification. By providing your phone number, you consent to receiving OTP messages necessary to authenticate and secure your account. Lockin does not use phone numbers for marketing.
5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Lockin may offer premium features via Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment processing is handled by Apple. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.
6. User Responsibilities
You agree not to use the app for unlawful purposes, interfere with its operation or security, reverse engineer or modify it (except where permitted by law), or circumvent app functionality.
7. Screen Time Features
Lockin relies on permissions and system features provided by Apple. Certain functionality may be unavailable if required permissions are denied. We are not responsible for limitations imposed by device settings or OS restrictions.
8. Intellectual Property
The Lockin app, including its software, design, branding, and content, is owned by Lockin or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
9. Service Availability
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or update any feature of the app at any time without liability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Lockin is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lockin and its owners, affiliates, employees, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed amounts paid by the user to Lockin during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the app if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
13. Privacy
Your use of Lockin is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Lockin after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Lockin is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.
